The Masterclass in Influencing Public Policy is designed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge to influence public policies effectively. This intensive two-day masterclass provides a foundational understanding of public policy processes, advocacy tactics, and practical strategies for driving evidence-based policy change. Created following the success of our eight-week microcredential, Leading Through Policy Change, this masterclass provides highlights of the content over 2 days and does not require any pre-reading.
You will explore the basics of Canada’s democratic systems, learn how to use research to build compelling cases, and develop effective advocacy and storytelling skills. The course is for those new to public policy or who have no formal education in it, seeking to understand the fundamentals and start making a tangible impact in their sectors and communities. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion after attending the two-day professional development experience.
