About Dais Talks on Anti-Racism
The Dais at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) has partnered with the Canadian Race Relations Foundation to host a series of five bi-weekly public events addressing issues at the intersection of public policy, and race and identity.
Public talks will focus on the issues of education, climate change, and online hate through the lens of race and identity, including highlighting the experiences of Black, Jewish, Muslim, and Indigenous community members.
Through engaging conversations between the audience and BIPOC keynote speakers working in the policy influence space, participants will learn about communities that are impacted by laws and policies, but who might not always have people in the room to voice their perspectives when decisions are made.
Talks will revolve around their concerns, ideas for policy change, and calls to action at the intersection of public policy, and race and identity.
Events are free, and will be held in person and online throughout the fall. Advance registration is required.
